Cake Fiction participates in Bridal Expos, Local Shows and Charity Events
Wish Upon a Wedding NJ Chapter Launch Cake Fiction was delighted to donate star shaped cookies to go in swag bags for the launch of the NJ Chapter of the Wish Upon a Wedding charity. The cocktail event takes place at the Estate at Florentine Gardens on Tuesday 1/18/2011. Suggested donations are $20 per person at the party. Your donations will go directly towards helping the charity grant wishes to deserving couples to help make wedding wishes come true! . Cake Fiction in "Cakes for a Cause" Wedding Cake Design Contest On Thursday, September 24th Cake Fiction participated in a wedding cake design contest at Sublime Restaurant in Gladstone NJ. Three cake decorators were each paired with an architect to work as a team to create a perfect wedding cake! Cake Fiction teamed with Richard Trautwein and Victoria Kim of Ronald Schmidt & Associates, P.A.  This event raised close to $4,000 for the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity Charity. Tickets included registration, appetizers and of course, CAKE! Donations can still be made, please help support this cause - Your tax-deductible gift will help them work towards a goal of building simple, decent homes for families in need in the Raritan Valley area. Cake Fiction at Orange Lawn Tennis Club Bridal Expo On Thursday, September 10th 7pm Cake Fiction displayed a selection of wedding cakes at the first Orange Lawn Tennis Club Bridal Expo. This prestigious location in South Orange (did you know the club was founded in 1880?) is a perfect location for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners. Make an appointment, go and check out this beautiful venue for your event. There was a designer fashion show by Nicole Miller, dj performances, other wedding exhibits and surprises galore. We served some of our cake, which went down a treat! At this charity shopping day in support of amfAR there were be lots of special gifts and offers taking place. Cake Fiction displayed a black and white wedding cake with black anemones as well as a Marc Jacobs handbag cake. We served some of our favorite chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache!
